A Surprise of the Best Kind

Have you ever had one of those moments that when you look back, you wonder how it happened? Like a Escher print, you know something changed, but you don’t know how. Well, April 11 was that way for me. I was with my Evey. She seemed a little down. So, I offered her an eight layer lemon cake I was trying out. She seemed so happy and asked me to marry her. I thought she was joking. She was always telling em how she would never get married, that it wasn’t for her.

Well, it seemed she changed her mind and I didn’t pick up on it. We had an argument, and she left. Later, she came back and we talked it out. Finally realizing that she had been serious, I got my grandmother’s engagement ring. I’ve been wanting to give it to her, but had hesitated when she said she never wanted to get married. So, I wasn’t going to pass up this opportunity to ask Evey to marry me. Happily she said yes.

Welcome to the Nightmare

Well, our little group was pretty happy, having fun, enjoying life, and then THEY came. Not much is known about the Shadow Grimm other than they hate humans and wesen interacting and think Nick is a traitor for being my friend…..Oh and they want me dead. When Nick and Teph tried to go to the trailer to see what she could find, they attacked. They took Teph and told Nick he had to kill me. I came up with a plan. Nick would give me to them alive and take Teph away. They accepted this. I fought them and killed them. [frowns] I don’t want to get anymore into that. It did seem that it was a good thing I came up with this plan since they had been torturing Teph while they had her. The group is a little shaken right now, and worried that it will get worse.

Letting Juliette into the Grimm World

Before all of the -real- craziness started happening, Nick felt he need to FINALLY tell Juliette about being a Grimm. She of course didn’t believe him and said his Aunt Marie had been affected by her cancer, when his aunt told him about this. He even took her to the trailer to show her the books, but the woman had arguments for that too. It wasn’t until I showed up and “wolfed out” did she believe. She took it much better than I expected. I believed there would be running and screaming, but she just passed out. When she woke up, she asked some questions, but she accepted everything. She keeps asking Nick if they can come over to my house. I think she’s addicted to my vegetarian pizza [chuckles] 

A Break to Celebrate a Birthday.

Last Monday was my girlfriend’s birthday.The group was having a bad time, but we all came together to celebrate. I wanted to make this day happy and special for my Evey. 

I made a cake. Ironically it is called “The Red Riding Hood” cake. I just thought the design was elegant and beautiful, just like Evey. Here’s a picture I took before we dove in to eat it.

 

I also wanted to get her a small gift. It was hard to find something that I thought Evey might like, but then I saw this at an antique shop and just knew it was for her.

The rest of the day was just us relaxing and having fun. Thankfully nothing happened to ruin the day for her.

Actually, I found a girlfriend on Twitter. Her name is Evey. Go check her out  .She is sweet, smart, sassy, and beautiful. She’s also a half-demon (long story). You never know what’s going to happen with Evey. She keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure. She seems to have a fear of commitment which she came by honestly. Still she makes me giddy, which -really- shocked Nick. He says he’s never seen me so happy. I’m not going to argue with that.

 

Q:You say you do pilates.. but do you do any Yoga, or even, yogalates?

I mostly do pilates. I tried yoga once and decided it wasn’t for me when I caused an incident trying to do the “Tree” pose…..I don’t want to talk about that. Soooo anyway, I do try to mix it up with a little hiking. Love the outdoors. What can I say. I use to be in scouts [nods]
